On the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord, Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Liturgy and the Great Blessing of Water »

On January 19, the Feast of the Holy Epiphany, the Baptism of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great and the Rite of the Great Blessing of Water at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South East England, Archpriest Vitaly Polischuk, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Archpriest Nikita Kozlov, Priest Vasily Gandzyuk, Priest Alexander Kapustin, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik, Deacon Viktor Nikiforov, and Deacon Nectarius Baska.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the Dormition Cathedral Choir under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov. Following the prayer behind the ambo, Bishop Matthew performed the Great Blessing of Water.
A glorification of the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord was then celebrated.
Following the dismissal of the Liturgy, the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of sermon and spiritual edification. Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
Bishop Matthew warmly congratulated Protodeacon Ioann Sylnik on his recent birthday and upcoming name day and presented Father Ioann with an icon of the Guardian Angel.
