Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh took part in the Divine Liturgy at St. Tikhon's Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto, Canada »

On September 11, 2025, on the day of the Beheading of St.John the Baptist, while visiting Canada with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, took part in the Divine Liturgy at St. Tikhon's Patriarchal Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The divine service was led by the Rector of the church, Archpriest Sergiy Rasskazovsky.
During the Liturgy, after the fervent litany, a prayer for the granting of peace was proclaimed.
Following the prayer after the communion, in the center of the church at the lectern with the icon of the Beheading of John the Baptist, the clergy performed a prayerful glorification of the feast.
After the dismissal of the Liturgy, Archpriest Sergiy Rasskazovsky warmly greeted Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko and told him about the history of the emergence of the parish community and the construction of the new church of the Russian Orthodox Church in Toronto.
In turn, Father Dimitry thanked Father Sergiy for his hospitality and the joy of performing joint prayer during the Liturgy. Fulfilling the responsible assignment of the clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Dimitry presented Archpriest Sergiy Rasskazovsky with the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov, 3rd degree, which he was awarded by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' in connection with his 75th birthday and the work he had done to build the church in Toronto. Father Dimitry also presented a large service book in the lectern format as a gift from His Grace Bishop Matthew, who is temporarily administering the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and Canada. 
In conclusion, Father Sergius introduced Father Dimitry to the structure of the church and spoke about the peculiarities of church and parish life in recent years.
