On December 8, 2025, the results of the children's drawing exhibition dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of St. Nicholas (Kasatkin), Equal-to-the-Apostles, Archbishop of Japan (1836-1912), were announced at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
At the request of representatives of the Resurrection Cathedral in Tokyo, the board of directors of the participating schools was asked to select three best works to be sent to Japan. However, the board members faced a truly difficult choice: all the submitted drawings were created with great care and love, and were bright and cheerful in their own way.
During the discussion, E.N. Poplavskaya proposed publishing an album containing all the children's works and sending it to the Resurrection Cathedral in Tokyo. The initiative was unanimously supported by the meeting participants. Following the exhibition, all young participants will receive commemorative diplomas and gifts. The organisers noted that such events not only reveal children's creative potential but also strengthen spiritual ties between Orthodox believers from different countries.
