The litany of fervent supplication included special petitions for the health of His Grace the Archpastor. Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko offered a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus Christ, our God, for the blessings bestowed upon the now-celebrated Bishop Matthew.

Following the prayer after the communion, His Grace and the concelebrating clergy performed a prayerful magnification before the venerated icon of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', whose feast day had been transferred from November 18 (5) to today.

Following the dismissal of the Liturgy, Bishop Matthew warmly greeted the diocesan clergy concelebrating with him, particularly noting the participation in the celebrations of representatives of the Archdiocese of Western European parishes of the Russian tradition - Hegumen Theophan (Willis) and Priest Jonathan Cowley. He addressed those present with a sermon. Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch translated into English.

Then, the blessed Patriarchal Certificates were presented. At the recommendation of Bishop Matthew, Archpriest Joseph Skinner, Dean of the Diocesan District of Southwest England; N.A. Purishko, Head of the Chancery of the Diocese of Sourozh; and M.V. Bezmenova, a teacher at the parish school at the Dormition Cathedral in London, were awarded Patriarchal Certificates for their diligent work for the benefit of the Russian Orthodox Church and for their birthday anniversaries.
