« The Second Orthodox Youth Meeting was held at Dormition Cathedral in London »

On October 3, 2025, with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, the Second Annual Orthodox Youth Meeting of the Diocese of Sourozh, London and Western European Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of the British Isles and Ireland, and Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was held at Dormition Cathedral in London.
The young people participated in the evening service, celebrated by Priest Alexander Kapustin and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch, clergy of Dormition Cathedral. Following the divine service, Father Alexander warmly welcomed the participants on behalf of Bishop Matthew, Administrator of the Diocese of Sourozh.
A meeting of clergy and youth then took place in the cathedral hall. Following the priests' speeches, various spiritual issues currently concerning modern Orthodox youth were discussed. The Diocese of Sourozh was represented at the meeting by Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, spiritual director of the youth group at the Dormition Cathedral in London, and Priest Alexander Kapustin. The London and Western Europe Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad was represented by Hieromonk Theodore (Stanway), the British and Irish Archdiocese of the Antiochian Patriarchate was represented by Priest Boniface Carroll, and the Archdiocese of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of the Romanian Patriarchate was represented by Priest Florin Daniel Marc.
The participants noted the positive experience of mutual communication and unanimously expressed their wishes for joint events in the future. The evening concluded with a shared tea party.
