To the attention of teachers, parents and students of the parish school of the Dormition Cathedral in London

Dear brothers and sisters, teachers and students!

According to official recommendations by the British Government and due to the closure of the Marlborough School, where classes of the children's parish school of the London Dormition Cathedral are held on Saturdays, our school temporarily suspends its activities.

The restrictions will be effective from Saturday, March 21, 2020 and will continue until a special order by the authorities.

Dear brothers and sisters!

Due to the current situation with coronavirus and preventive measures in place, the general Holy Unction (Soborovaniye) has been temporary suspended at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

The Sacrament of Holy Unction can be performed individually, at home, by a prior arrangement with a priest.

Pilgrimage to the venerated copy of the Icon of the Mother of God "Three Hands" took place in Birmingham

On February 22, 2020, parishioners of the Church of St.Aidan and St.Chad (Nottingham), headed by Archpriest Gregory Butler,  Rector of the church, and a group of parishioners from the Diocesan District of the North of England and Wales, together with Priest Anatoly Vikhrov, made a pilgrimage trip to the parish of All Saints who shone in the land of Britain  and to the parish of St. Prince Lazarus in Birmingham.

New issue of Sourozh magazine has been published

A new 112th issue of Sourozh magazine was published in February 2020.

The diocesan publication begun in 1982 with the blessing of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Anthony (Bloom).  After a long break, its publication was resumed in 2009 by a newly formed editorial board headed by Archpriest Mikhail Dudko.

Beloved in Christ Fathers, brothers and sisters!

In the Sourozh diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as throughout the world,  the continued spread of the disease associated with coronavirus infection is a cause of deep concern. In the UK and Ireland the clergy and faithful of the diocese are praying for the healing of the sick and for a speedy end to the epidemic. Due to the spread of the disease, I urge you to comply with all recommendations and orders of the authorities and strictly implement the relevant directives aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
