The Hierarchs of the Diocese of Sourozh celebrate the Divine Liturgy at the London Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad

On the 90th anniversary of the martyr’s death of the Russian Royal Family, Bishop Elisey of Sourozh, assisted by Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Royal Martyrs of the Russian Orthodox Church abroad in the London suburb of Chiswick. The same hierarchs also conducted the vigil service on the previous night. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a procession took place around the church building.. Following the procession, Bishop Elisey address the assembled congregation and reminded them that the sacrificial death of the Holy Royal Passion-bearers and of all the new martyrs is a paradigm for us of the love of God, our neighbour and our Fatherland. Valdyka Elisey also noted the active life of the church community and the parish council and, in particular, commended the labours of the rector, Archpriest Yaroslav, who has come to the end of his ministry in London and is ready to return to the USA.
