New Year service

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated again on New Year's Eve in the Cathedral of the Dormition and All Saints of the Diocese of Sourozh in London.

In the evening Bishop Elisey of Sourozh served a New Year moleben after the service of vespers and litia for the reposed Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Celebration of the Divine Liturgy began at midnight. It was presided by Bishop Elisey of Sourozh and concelebrated by the Archbishop Anatoliy of Kerch and the clergy. After the Divine Liturgy Vladyka Elisey wished the congregation a Happy New Year, thanking everyone for their prayers. Bishop Elisey also noted that that for every one of us there is an opportunity to evaluate the events of the past year and in the New Year start a new life again, life with God and for God, making every effort to reach internal transfiguration and spiritual renewal.
