London and Oxford youth groups hold joint barbecue
With the blessing of Bishop Elisey of Sourozh, a group of teenagers and young people from the London Cathedral visited the university city of Oxford on St Thomas’ Sunday. The group was led by a priest of the Cathedral parish, Fr Joseph Skinner. The visit began with the Liturgy at the Parish of St Nicholas the Wonderworker, celebrated by the rector, Fr Stephen Platt. The London visitors were made very welcome by Fr Stephen together with Deacon Matthew Steenberg and the members of the local Orthodox youth group who hosted a barbecue at the South Oxford Adventure Playground in Oxford. Afterwards, the young people were able to see some famous university landmarks before returning home.
