Christmas party for children at the London Cathedral

On Saturday, 10th January, a Christmas party for younger pupils of the church school took place at London’s Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints. At the beginning of the party, Bishop Elisey of Sourozh congratulated everybody with the great festival of the Nativity of Christ. Children recited the poems and sang the songs they had learnt at the church school; they played different games and were awarded prizes by Father Christmas and the Snow Maiden. At the end of the party, Bishop Elisey gave a present to each child.

On the next day, 11th January, a Christmas performance presented by the older pupils of the church school was performed at the Cathedral. The play “Enchanted Prince”, on which the performance was based, explained to the children the meaning of the Christian commandments. At the end of the performance, Bishop Elisey thanked all the participants, gave them Christmas presents and congratulated everyone with the joyful festival of the Nativity of the Lord.
