Bishop Elisey of Sourozh took part in the consecration of bishop Tikhon (Zaicev)

On 24 April, the ordination of Archimandrite Tikhon (Zaicev) took place, and on the 25th April, he was consecrated Bishop of Podolsk, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Moscow.

On 24 April, Bishop Elisey participated in the ordination, which was held in the Church of All Russian Saints at the Patriarchal Synodal residence in the Svyato-Danilov monastery.

On 25 April, Bishop Elisey took part in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, served at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour by his Holiness Patriarch Kirill and his Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah of All America and Canada. During the service, Archimandrite Tikhon (Zaicev) was consecrated Bishop of Podolsk, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Moscow.

After the Divine Liturgy, a ceremonial meal was organized in the Refectory of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

Bishop Elisey was accompanied in the trip by protodeacon Dmitry Nedostupenko, a cleric of the London Cathedral.
