Bishop Elisey expresses his condolences on the death of the head of the Orthodox Church of Greece

On 29th of January, the eve of the feast of the Three Hierarchs (new calendar), Bishop Elisey of Sourozh took part in the service of Great Vespers celebrated at the Cathedral church of the Thyateira Diocese (Patriarchate of Constantinople) in London. At the conclusion of Vespers, a pannikhida was served for the newly-departed Head of the Orthodox Church of Greece, His Beatitude Archbishop Chistodoulos of Athens and All Greece. At the meal that followed, attended by the hierarchs, clergy and lay members of the Greek Orthodox community in Great Britain, Bishop Elisey expressed his condolences on the occasion of the repose of the Greek Orthodox Primate. The next day, Bishop Elisey paid a visit to the Greek Embassy in London and signed the book of condolences.
