MINUTE № 1

CONSIDERED:

The Procedure for conducting the meeting of the Diocesan Assembly.

RESOLVED:

To adopt the presented version of the Procedure.

 

MINUTE № 2

CONSIDERED:

The choice of Deputy Chairman of the Diocesan Assembly, Secretary of the Diocesan Assembly and two members of the Diocesan Assembly authorised to sign the Minutes of the meeting in accordance with the Statutes of the Diocese of Sourozh and also members of the electoral committee.

RESOLVED:

To appoint as:

Deputy Chairman Archprieast Benedict Ramsden;

Signatory Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch;

Signatory Irina Kirillova;

Secretary Priest Joseph Skinner.

Members of the electoral committee: Gregory Bridge; Anton Zakharov.

 

MINUTE № 3

CONSIDERED:

The membership of the Diocesan Council.

RESOLVED:

  1. To elect the following as members of the Diocesan Council:

1)      Archpriest Mikhail Dudko;

2)      Priest Stephen Platt.

  1. To take note of the appointment by the Diocesan Hierarch, in accordance with the Statutes of the Diocese of Sourozh, of the following as members of the Diocesan Council:

1)      Archpriest Gennady Andreev;

2)      Priest Joseph Skinner.

 

MINUTE № 4

CONSIDERED:

The membership of the Parish Assembly in accordance with the Model Statutes of a Parish of the Diocese of Sourozh.

RESOLVED:

  1. That in each parish of the Diocese of Sourozh,  the members of the Parish Council as it has functioned until now be considered  members of the new Parish Assembly.
  2. That each Parish Assembly should choose new worthy members so that the total membership be not less than ten.
  3. That the Minutes of the Parish Assembly meetings be submitted to the Diocesan Council for approval by the Diocesan Hierarch.

 

MINUTE № 5

CONSIDERED:

The accountability of the parishes  in accordance with the Statutes of the Diocese of Sourozh.

RESOLVED:

That all parishes should present an annual report on their activities, together with a financial report for 2010 for approval by the Diocesan Hierarch no later than 21st December, 2010.

 

MINUTE № 6

CONSIDERED:

The adoption by the parishes of their Statutes on the basis of the Model Statutes of a parish of the Diocese of Sourozh proposed by the Diocesan Assembly. 

RESOLVED:

That the Parish Assemblies should submit their decisions on the adoption of their Statutes for approval by the  Diocesan Hierarch.

 

MINUTE № 7

CONSIDERED:

The composition of the laity in the Diocesan Assembly.

RESOLVED:

  1. That the Churchwardens of each parish be considered members of the Diocesan Assembly and that their names be submitted to the Diocesan Council not later than the date of its next meeting, 10th September, 2010.
  2. n newly-established parishes where it proves impossible to hold a Parish Assembly meeting before 10thSeptember, 2010, the Rector shall present to the Diocesan Council one responsible representative to serve as a member of the Diocesan Assembly.
  3. That the London Cathedral Parish should be represented in the Diocesan Assembly by its Churchwarden and Treasurer together with two other members chosen for this purpose, all to be voting members of the Assembly.
  4. That all the Trustees of the Diocese be considered members of the Diocesan Assembly.

  

MINUTE № 8

CONSIDERED:

The accountability of the Diocesan Departments.

RESOLVED:

That the Diocesan Departments should present annual reports on their activities in 2010 and their plans for 2011 for approval by the Diocesan Hierarch no later than 21st December, 2010.


MINUTE № 9

CONSIDERED:

That pursuant to the terms of the Diocesan Trust Deed made by Patience Burne, Patricia Fostiropoulos, Roderick Paul Agnew Garrett and Dimitri Obolensky on 22 April 1979, the Diocesan Assembly has the power to give directions to the trustees of the Diocesan Trust in relation to the Trust funds. Accordingly, the Diocesan Assembly wishes to authorise the trustees to make ordinary day-to-day payments and transfers in respect of the Trust funds.

RESOLVED:

That Adrian Dean and Anton Zakharov in their capacities as trustees of the Diocesan Trust, are authorised to make such payments out of the Diocesan Trust funds as are necessary for the payment of Diocesan salaries, other ordinary expenses and normal banking transfers incurred by or on behalf of the Diocese in the day-to-day running of the Diocese. Nothing in this paragraph shall extend to the disposal of real property held in the name of the trustees without the consent of the Diocesan Assembly.

 

MINUTE № 10

CONSIDERED:

Upon a declaration of trust dated 22 April 1979 (the “Diocese Trust Deed”) made by Patience Burne, Patricia Fostiropoulos, Roderick Paul Agnew Garrett and Dimitri Obolensky creating a Trust subsequently registered with the Charity Commission in the name of ‘The Russian Orthodox Diocese of Sourozh’ (Charity Number 277508) (the “Diocesan Trust”)

And Upon The Assembly of the Diocese of Sourozh in the United Kingdom (the “Diocesan Assembly”) noting Clause 5 of the Diocesan Trust Deed in the following terms:

The power of appointing new trustees shall be vested in the survivor or survivors of the trustees provided that as long as the Diocese or their successors shall be in existence the appointment of new trustees shall be made in accordance with the directions of the Assembly and not otherwise. Provided also that the Assembly shall not direct the appointment as trustee of any person who shall be in Holy Orders and any trustee who shall intend to take Holy Orders shall signify his intention to the Assembly before doing so and shall retire from the trust.”

And Upon the Diocesan Assembly wishing to appoint Irina Abramovich of London, United Kingdom, Igor Altushkin of London, United Kingdom and Tatiana Altushkin of London, United Kingdom not being persons in Holy Orders, as trustees of the Diocesan Trust

RESOLVED:

The Diocesan Assembly directs the incumbent trustees of the Diocesan Trust, namely Adrian Dean and Anton Zakharov to appoint Irina Abramovich, Igor Altushkin and Tatiana Altushkin to serve as trustees of the Diocesan Trust.
